2021-2022 Season Recap

The Arlington Wrestling program has again made history and finished an outstanding season on a high note. Five tiger wrestlers placed first in the Region 8 Individual Tournament and top 2 in the Section 4 Individual Tournament, qualifying them for state.
The Region 8 and Section 4 tournament results are as follows:

Dylan Cockman, 160 lbs. | Region Champion, Section Champion

David Fernandez, 182 lbs. | Region Champion, Section Champion
Walker Funk, 220 lbs. | 3rd in Region
Heflin, Roaten, Cockman, Krepela, and Fernandez all went on to place within the top 4 in the State of Tennessee. Jacob Roaten (SR.) is the 3rd State Champion in Arlington Wrestling program history. Hunter Heflin (SO.) is the youngest wrestler in Arlington Wrestling program history to reach the state finals. Dylan Cockman (SR.) finishes his Arlington Wrestling career as a three-time state placer: 4th @ 145 in 2020, 3rd @ 160 in 2021, and 2nd @ 160 in 2022.

Your Arlington Tigers, with only five wrestlers, placed 5th overall in Division I - AA with 104 team points. Also, they placed 3rd as a team for Most Pins Least Time in their division.
